OVERVIEW 

Human Resources sits at the heart of the agency. Within this HRIS role, this individual has the opportunity to partner closely with Finance and Human Resources. With responsibility to all employees as well as the company overall, our group works hard to provide our best service, always wrapped up with a strategic and organized approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

MERGE is a collaborative company. The ideal candidate will be upbeat, optimistic and happy to help the team. Key role responsibilities include:

Core functional responsibilities include:

  • Process semi-monthly payroll for the MERGE network (Boston, Chicago, and Atlanta) using Paycom
  • Monitor the transmission of data from Paycom to the insurance carriers
  • Input and manage the flow of personnel data in the HRIS system (Paycom), the financial system (Advantage), and the performance review system (Reflektive)
  • Maintain personnel and benefits files for employees, running monthly reporting for various needs across the network
  • Remain current with changes in personnel law on the federal and state level
  • Complete employment verification and salary surveys as required
  • Administer the company 401k plan including semi-monthly funding from payroll, annual testing, and annual true-up
  • Maintain transit benefits, ensuring transit card funding occurs on time and accurately; Oversee parking pass system as necessary
  • Manage compensation programs such as merit, bonus, and commission plans; Own timelines overall to ensure payroll is executed in a timely fashion
  • Maintain all company benefits plans, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, and supplemental insurance
  • Administer COBRA, FMLA, and leave processes
  • Audit insurance invoices and provide monthly billing details to the finance team
  • Participate in employee benefit planning and enrollment, working closely with brokers and vendors on an ongoing basis
  • Assist employees with questions concerning payroll, compensation, and benefits
  • Ad hoc special projects including, but not limited to, those related to taxes, EEO, company policies, training, or other human resource functional areas
  • Various Finance & HR projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-6 years of work experience working with Benefits, Salary Administration and Payroll
  • 1+ years leading Payroll
  • Must have strategic understanding of benefits policies and procedures including COBRA, Retirement Plans, Cafeteria Plan Administration, and other benefits issues
  • Knowledge, understanding and perspective of standard compensation and payroll practices associated with federal and state employment and labor laws, as well as salary surveys and other compensation analysis techniques
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiar with HRIS systems. Knowledge and experience with Paycom a big plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the inherent nature to interact with employees across levels; Team player
  • Strong ability to organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong problem solving skills and extremely detail oriented

Works in conjunction with Creative Director or Associate Creative Director, Account Management, Project Management, Production, and Technology teams to develop and execute innovative content for website and video projects and copy for print, radio, and digital marketing.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop creative concepts and design layouts for all marketing channels - including print, OOH, direct response, collateral, broadcast, social, landing pages, websites, email, banners

Collaborates with assigned copywriter to concept and execute final project

Develop work that is on strategy and on brand

Work on new business initiatives as needed

Ability to prepare and present concept/layouts internally and to Clients

Execute art direction and design for existing concepts initiated by others on the creative or client team

Ability to conduct effective image search for concepts and for final materials

Assists Creative Directors with execution details of client photoshoots and works closely with shoot production from casting to onsite creative direction as needed

Qualifications:


  • 5-7 years agency or creative department experience

  • Experience in Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Financial marketing a plus

  • Able to think conceptually and strategically

  • Portfolio / samples of produced and spec work in all mediums

  • Excellent art direction and design skills with an emphasis on versatility

  • Able to develop creative from start to final delivery

  • Able to art direct/design for any medium including web and digital media production, direct response (digital and print).

  • Be proficient with InDesign as well as the Adobe CS family of programs

  • Able to art direct photography/illustration

  • Familiarity with print production
