Challenge

B. Braun Medical is a German-based medical device and pharmaceutical company with facilities in over 50 countries. B. Braun had been trying to educate hospital audiences about the features and benefits of OnGuard® Closed System Drug Transfer Device for several years with limited success. As a result, only a small fraction of the sales force was comfortable with selling the product line.

Insight

Pharmacists, nurses and technicians were not seeing OnGuard® as a solution because they didn’t understand the problem. Our challenge was to help B. Braun Medical gain awareness to the risks of healthcare worker exposure to dangerous chemotherapy vapors and promote OnGuard® as the missing safety measure for caregiver protection.

Outcome

  • Sales force engagement with the portfolio increased to over 90%
  • 1st year post campaign launch, OnGuard® sales increased 36%
  • 2nd year post campaign launch, OnGuard® sales increased 95%
