Global Website and Intranet development
With multiple organizations combining to form the newly named LivaNova, the company was seen as a collection of disjointed brands and medical device products, with low brand equity and the tribal legacy issues that accompany most mergers. It was unclear to both internal and external audiences what this newly combined company was all about.
These separate companies all shared a passion to develop innovative devices that improve patient lives. Focusing on the two areas where LivaNova has the biggest impact—neuromodulation and cardiac surgery—we brought to life this combined commitment to the “head and heart.” The result was a unified platform that clearly defined LivaNova’s new shared vision as a global medical device leader.
MERGE brought the new “head and heart” position of LivaNova to life across a global website and global company intranet. These new platforms have helped engage and excite employees internally and provide are providing physicians, patients and investors a clear articulation of the LivaNova difference.
Based upon research with internal and external audiences plus company stakeholders, our goal was to demonstrate the technological innovation of the company through a state-of-the-art website experience. We restructured the information architecture to support various use cases and objectives, along with an enhanced look and feel that was easy to navigate and captured the new LivaNova brand.
We brought “heat and heart” to life in a bold, dynamic way and optimized the design for desktop and mobile experiences, allowing users to access information and learn about LivaNova products and therapies from all touch points.
Content is organized by business segments and use cases, with different content for healthcare professionals and patients. Simple imagery, graphics and call-outs highlight product features, research data, clinical evidence and patient stories.
Known as LivaNova EDGE (Employee Digital Global Engagement), we built their intranet from the ground up to serve as a central hub for internal policies, essential resources and company news. The experience is customized based on an employee’s location. A custom CMS platform allows internal content managers to easily and efficiently add and edit content as needed.
